Gillespie is out at Kentucky. The blue bloods are not going to settle for another coach. They are coming hard with lots of money, and looking to make a quick hire. Donnovan is still probably at the top of their list, but Izzo is on their radar. If Michigan State’s season ends this weekend I think there is a strong possability that they put a full court press on Izzo. I don’t see him leaving for another college job, but Kentucky might be offering a compensation package of close to $5 million a year which is enough to make anyone listen. Its impossible to know how it will all work out, but Kentucky is without a doubt going to make a huge splash with this hire.
