What this city lacks in college football, general sports atmosphere, professional sports franchises and good pizza, it more than makes up for in providing me with endless college basketball options November through March. Good job Orleans Arena, now just get some decent pop corn and you’ll be all set.
Seriously though, watching a basketball game at the Orleans Areana is great. Only lower bowl seating (unless you’re a hot shot and buy a box seat on the second level), close to the court action, and it doesn’t really smell bad. With the exception of the pop corn, there are decent concessions, but who cares cause its connected to a casino that will make you a sandwich or empty your wallet. It’s about 15 mins from where I live. They really enjoy putting this thing on or they wouldn’t reup. It’s also frequented by everybody’s favorite and recent spinal surgery have-er – Tark the Shark.
Lots of coaches in town for several AAU tourneys. How do I get into one of these things?
