What can I say? Indianapolis was my (Rhett) very first tourney trip. I turned 21 on this trip, so I purchsed my first beer legally, and we were able to meet the son of Dr. Naismith, the author of the original rules of basketball. We even were allowed to read the acutal document while drinking free beers in a hotel lobby. An amazing start to the trip for myself.

5. Notre Dame vs 12. Wisconsin-Milwaukee

4. Illinois vs 13. Western Kentucky

Look at that lineup. What a chance to see some upsets. LOL. Yeah, right. All four lower seeds won close games that had us sitting on the edge of our seats until the very end of every game. Frustrating.

5. Notre Dame vs 4. Illinois

In the end, Notre Dame bested Illinois, and a Dwayne Wade led Marquette team advance to the sweet 16.
